Our solution to convert high Free Fatty Acid oils into biodiesel is called TRAP (Trap grease Recycling Automated Process).
Our process converts trap grease into eco-friendly fuel using a novel chemical process. Traditional biodiesel conversion uses a chemical process ill suited to high Free Fatty Acid (FFA) content oil. Typically these traditional processes are only suited to oils with less than 4-7% FFA. Our process can convert oils with up to 100% FFA content. Such oils include trap grease, animal tallow, fish oils, "bad" yellow grease, and brown grease.
Currently we have proven our technology in bench-scale experiments. We are in the process of building a 30 gallon batch reactor to prove our process on an industrial scale. This reactor will have a fully automated process controller with intuitive user interface.
